The Ensemble HEXATON, which is made up of musicians who specialise in playing period instruments, offers an unusual approach, coming at things from both historic and creative angles. Driven by a thirst for knowledge and the desire to share these kinds of music with a wide audience, the musicians who make up HEXATON have gone back to an evolving modus operandi, drawing inspiration from the inventive spirit of the composers of the Baroque period. Regardless of what works they are playing, they bring a fresh outlook to their performance, to passing them on to the next generation and to making them more widely-known. HEXATON were responsible for setting up the MIROIRS musical season held in Bordeaux in 2022. Designed as a residence for artists, MIROIRS is a forum for creation and experimentation open to talented young people, with opportunities for networking and also for the passing on and sharing of a cultural heritage based around music.

The “Vivaldi incognito” programme was created as part of this.
